Working Principle of the ZLB(Q) Single-Stage Vertical Axial Flow Pump
The ZLB and ZLQ pumps are single-stage, vertical axial-flow pumps, suitable for conveying clean water, sewage (or wastewater), and mildly corrosive liquids. These pumps feature a relatively low head and a high flow rate, making them ideal for agricultural irrigation and drainage, salt production facilities, aquaculture, water supply, wastewater treatment, circulating water transfer in power plants, shipyards, and other hydraulic engineering projects involving water supply and drainage. They can also be used in the metallurgical and chemical industries. The temperature of the pumped liquid generally does not exceed 50°C.

Product Description
Overview of the ZLB(Q) Axial-Flow Pump
The ZLB and ZLQ pumps are single-stage, vertical axial-flow pumps, suitable for conveying clean water, sewage (or wastewater), and mildly corrosive liquids. These pumps feature a relatively low head and a high flow rate, making them ideal for agricultural irrigation and drainage, salt production facilities, aquaculture, water supply, wastewater treatment, circulating water transfer in power plants, shipyards, and other hydraulic engineering projects involving water intake and discharge. They can also be used in the metallurgical and chemical industries. The temperature of the pumped liquid generally does not exceed 50°C.
Applications of ZLB (Q) Type Axial-Flow Pumps
In agricultural irrigation and drainage, industrial thermal power plants use circulating water; urban water supply and drainage systems, shipyard dock‑leveling operations, and other hydraulic engineering projects also rely on such systems.
Meaning of the ZLB(Q) Type Axial-Flow Pump Model Designation
Take the 700ZLB(Q)-70A as an example:
700—Outlet diameter is 700 mm
Z----Axial-flow type
L----Vertical structure
B----The blade is semi-adjustable.
Q----The blades are fully adjustable.
70—The specific speed is divided by 10 (i.e., the specific speed is 700).
A----Variant Code
Operating Conditions for ZLB and ZLQ Axial-Flow Pumps
Medium temperature: ≤50℃
Medium density: ≤1.05 × 10³ kg/m³
Medium pH: between 5 and 11

Structural Features of the ZLB(Q) Axial-Flow Pump
The ZLB(Q) pump is a single-stage, vertical axial-flow pump. Its structure comprises a pump‑body section and a drive‑section. The pump‑body components include the volute, impeller assembly, guide vane housing, bend, bearings, stuffing box, and coupling, among others. The drive‑section consists of a transmission shaft: one end is connected to the motor via a coupling, while the other end is coupled to the pump. Axial thrust is borne by bearings housed within the motor base (or bearing housing). The shaft seal employs a packing seal. In operation, the pump impeller rotates in a counter‑clockwise direction when viewed from the suction inlet.
