Overview of CZ-Type Petrochemical Standard Pumps
The CZ-type petrochemical standard pump is a horizontal, single-stage, single-suction centrifugal pump; its dimensions and performance comply with DIN 24256/ISO 2858 standards.
Its performance range encompasses all the specifications of the standard IH series chemical pumps, with efficiency and cavitation performance metrics that surpass those of IH‑type pumps.
Design Features
The pressure acting on the shaft seal is balanced by balance holes in the impeller or by auxiliary vanes. The shaft seal may be a soft packing type—either cooled or uncooled—or a single‑ or double‑ended, non‑balanced mechanical seal of various designs. Ball bearings are highly durable, and the shaft diameter is generously sized to ensure smooth operation. For certain model sizes, the pump casing is designed with a double volute to counteract radial forces. The bearing housing, together with the shaft, impeller, and stuffing box, forms an integrated assembly, allowing the pump to be removed from the piping for maintenance without disassembly (and, when an extended coupling is used, the motor need not be detached either). Flange designs are available in two pressure classes—PN16 and PN25—depending on the material selected.
Scope of Use
Transport of low‑temperature or high‑temperature liquids; neutral or corrosive liquids; clean liquids or those containing solid particles. Particularly suitable for: the chemical and petrochemical industries; refineries; paper mills and the pulp industry; and the grain‑processing industry.
Applicable medium
Various inorganic and organic acids, including sulfuric acid, nitric acid, hydrochloric acid, and phosphoric acid, at different temperatures and concentrations.
Alkaline solutions such as sodium hydroxide and sodium carbonate at various temperatures and concentrations.
Various salt solutions.
Various liquid petrochemical products, organic compounds, and other corrosive raw materials and products.
